Whether it’s lending a hand to carry a heavy bag for an elderly neighbor, packing groceries for delivery to those who feel safer at home, or continuing to show up on the frontlines throughout the pandemic – grocery workers are there to support our communities. Thank you for all you do!
To say thank you and show appreciation, the Grocery Worker’s Appreciation Fund from Kendall-Jackson and United Way Worldwide provides financial support for grocery workers in the form of up to $250 cash cards to help with life’s surprises and urgent needs through August of 2030.
Current employees of a grocery store or retail store with a grocery department, with a demonstrated need for financial assistance are eligible to apply. You must be 18 years or older.
Individuals will only be eligible to receive a cash card once every 365 days. For full details about the program eligibility, visit United Way Worldwide.
Prepare the following
○ Proof of employment at a grocery store (paystub, etc.)
○ Submit a short description of how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted you financially and/or the intended use for the funds.
Due to high demand, we recommend applying the beginning of the month.
