Kevin Plunkett began his law career in 1975 as an ADA for Westchester County. He later joined the law firm of Plunkett & Jaffe, where he was a member of the firm for more than 20 years. A partner in the Law firm Thacher Proffitt & Wood from 2000 to 2008 he later became a partner at DelBello Donnellan Weingarten Wise and Wiederkehr.
In 2009, Plunkett was asked to become the Deputy County Executive for Westchester County by Robert Astorino, the then just-elected County Executive. Starting in January 2010 he was responsible for more-than 4,000 employees, a budget of $1.85 billion, and oversight of the Westchester County’s entire operations. Since 2017 he has served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Simone Development.
Plunkett has also served on the boards of numerous not-for-profit and educational institutions including ArtsWestchester, Westchester ARC Foundation and Iona College.
A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Plunkett earned his law degree at Stetson University College of Law and is a lifelong resident of Tarrytown. Kevin and his wife Rosemary are the proud parents of 5 children and grandparents of 7.

United Way’s Day of Golf will be held following all NYS and Westchester County recommendations for safe social distancing and enhanced sanitization efforts to provide for a healthy, safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Registered golfers/participants will receive specific protocols and safety procedures by email in advance of the day of play.
