United Way's Shred Day Helps 7 Nonprofit Organizations Shred 400 Boxes of Documents

United Way of Westchester and Putnam (UWWP) provided shredding services to seven nonprofit organizations in Westchester and Putnam on Shred Day, June 26. Over 400 boxes of nonessential documents were safely disposed of on this day.

“Having this service to safely and securely dispose of sensitive membership data is invaluable as we, at the Rye YMCA, head towards a safer and secure electronic approach,” explained John Grieco, the Director of Membership Operation at the Rye YMCA.

United Way of Westchester and Putnam organizes events such as Shred Day to help local nonprofit organizations save money while keeping their information safe and disposing of paper records in an environmentally conscious way.
