Reading opens doors. It sparks curiosity, builds vocabulary, and gives children the tools they need to navigate and understand the world around them. Ensuring that every child has access to books is a cause worth showing up for, and that is exactly what a wonderful group of volunteers from MVP Health Care did!
Thanks to generous donations from the Croton Library, Mamaroneck Library, and the Leffell School, United Way of Westchester and Putnam received 1,889 books ready to be sorted, organized, and shared. MVP Healthcare volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work, making sure each book was accounted for and prepared to find its way into the hands of children through United Way’s partners and programs.
Hebe Lamarche, an MVP Health Care volunteer, captured the spirit of the day: “This volunteer event means a lot to me and to all of us at MVP Health Care. Having the opportunity to support our community with resources like these is truly a pleasure.”
