African American Men of Westchester (AAMV) are postponing all upcoming events indefinitely.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program/Cash Coalition is suspending AARP Foundation Tax-Aide services beginning March 16 until further notice. Check their web page periodically or call 1-888-227-7669 for updates about the status of Tax-Aide sites.

The American Heart Association‘s Westchester Go Red for Women luncheon planned for Friday, April 3 will be rescheduled on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

Boscobel House and Gardens in Garrison have postponed The Magic Lantern program scheduled for March 29.

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester will be closed on Monday, March 16.

Community Resource Center will close to the public and only offer emergency assistance and referrals via phone from March 16 to March 21.

Hope’s Door has closed its Hawthorne and Ossining sites with the hope of re-opening after two weeks – on Monday, March 30, 2020. Their shelter and hotline will continue to operate. Anyone in need of services should contact our hotline at 888-438-8700.

Their Annual Teen Dating Abuse Symposium, originally scheduled for April 22, has been moved to Monday, October 26, 2020.

Their Gala, which had been scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2020, will not be held – we continue to evaluate the feasibility of a “Virtual Gala.”

The Jacob Burns Film Center has suspended all film and education programs through March 31.

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley has moved its Equal Access to Justice Dinner on April 2, 2020 from an in-person celebration into the digital world and create an online experience.

Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains will be closed through April 12.

My Sisters Place will not accepting walk-in clients or visitors to its offices; however, they still have some coverage at each office for emergency cases and are still providing any assistance to victims/survivors that they can. The Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase is now temporarily closed to the public.

Nor-West Regional Special Services has canceled its therapeutic recreation programs indefinitely effective March 13.

North East Westchester Special Recreation in Hawthorne has canceled all programs through March 20.

The Ossining Food Pantry at Trinity Church is closed until further notice.

Volunteer New York! will not be hosting an in-person Volunteer Spirit Awards on April 3, 2020. They are exploring the option of a virtual awards presentation that is streamed live.

WEDC and Putnam SCORE have canceled the ONW WOMEN’S Conference scheduled April 4, 2020 at the Putnam County Golf Course.

Westchester-Putnam Workforce Development Board has postponed the job fairs scheduled for March 19, 2020, and March 24, 2020.

Starting Monday, March 16, 2020, the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program will only be assisting customers who have made appointments through 211 for our White Plains, Mt. Vernon and Westchester Community College VITA locations. VITA assistance will continue to be offered at the White Plains Community Opportunity Program and at Ossining High School via appointment or walk-ins. VITA services at the Yonkers Riverfront Library, the Westchester Educational Opportunity Center in Yonkers, and Mercy College locations are suspended until further notice. Please check with 211 for any updates before attending VITA appointments.

Westchester Residential Opportunities will not hold in-person meetings, including both one-on-one counseling sessions and larger group events. Our counselors will be available by phone and by email.

Yonkers Philharmonic – Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus situation, YPO’s March 29th concert has been canceled.
