Charlene Davis brings over 20+ years of expertise in the financial sector as a seasoned finance and information technology professional. As a strategic leader and passionate advocate for education, Charlene combines her professional acumen with a deep commitment to community empowerment. With a strong educational foundation including a B.S. with honors in Business Administration (Management Information Systems), an MBA in Finance, and a Graduate Certificate in Database Technologies, Charlene offers exceptional analytical skills to support United Way’s mission. Her professional credentials as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Enrolled Agent (EA) further demonstrate her commitment to excellence and continuous learning. Raised in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Charlene understands firsthand the importance of building strong communities. As a single parent who successfully navigated complex financial decisions while raising a college-aged son, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her community service. This personal journey fuels her passion for creating a more equitable community by advancing education, financial literacy, and stability, particularly for young people in underserved communities. Charlene is an active member of the NY National Society of Enrolled Agents and the Westchester County Chapter of the Project Management Institute, maintaining strong professional connections throughout the region. Her collaborative approach to problem-solving and strategic resource management aligns perfectly with United Way’s comprehensive community impact model. |
Vinay Dheer |

Vinay Dheer has over 20 years of information technology leadership with Regeneron and Pfizer, primarily in strategic roles. He has worked with various business functions such as communications, marketing, research and development, facilities management, HR, and others. Vinay has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani in India. Vinay has participated in leadership and team member positions at various community initiatives at Regeneron, such as for science education for kids and data mentorship for nonprofit organizations. He has previously mentored several high school kids with Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Vinay has continued to mentor high school and early career kids through the college process, job searches, and other life experiences. He has also directly mentored summer interns for most of his career. Vinay Deer is excited about the opportunity to meet with nonprofit organizations and explore how his background and skills can support their efforts to make a meaningful impact. |
