Putnam County Proclaims February 11 as 211 Day

Chief Information Officer Lini Jacob

We are thrilled to share that the Putnam County Legislature and County Executive Kevin Byrne officially proclaimed February 11, 2026 as 211 Day in Putnam County! This recognition, championed alongside Legislator Amy Sayegh of District #8, celebrates the vital role 211 of the Hudson Valley plays in connecting residents to the resources they need every day.

From crisis counseling and food assistance to stable housing, healthcare, and mental health support, 211 is there for our community 24/7, in multiple languages, and completely free. In 2025 alone, 211 of the Hudson Valley recorded 727,491 total interactions, answered 92,960 incoming calls (a 13% increase from 2024), made 112,740 referrals to local services, and addressed 92,307 needs across the region. Locally, Putnam County saw thousands of requests for financial assistance to help prevent evictions and more than 400 calls addressing mental health needs.

Whether someone reaches out by phone, text, email, or online, 211 connects them to the help they need. We are proud to be recognized by Putnam County and remain committed to serving our community each and every day.
