David M. Yawman

Dave Yawman is Executive Vice President of Government Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of PepsiCo, a global food and beverage leader with net revenues of approximately $63 billion and a product portfolio that includes 22 brands that generate more than $1 billion each in annual retail sales. PepsiCo’s main businesses – Frito-Lay, Pepsi-Cola, Gatorade, Quaker, and Tropicana – make hundreds of enjoyable foods and beverages that are respected household names throughout the world.

Yawman assumed this role in November 2017, and leads the company’s worldwide legal, government affairs and public policy, and compliance and ethics functions.

Yawman has nearly 20 years of experience at PepsiCo, spanning positions across PepsiCo’s businesses and former independent bottling company. Prior to becoming General Counsel, Yawman served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel for PepsiCo and general counsel for North America and Corporate. Before joining PepsiCo in 1998, Yawman was an associate with the law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson and served as a law clerk in the United States District Court.

Yawman has been a member of the United Way of Westchester and Putnam (UWWP) Board for nearly 15 years, and twice served as its Chair. He has been a dedicated and active participant in UWWP; contributing to its impactful efforts to drive awareness, learn best practices, and utilize resources and programs that help local residents become self-sufficient and thrive in a stronger community.

Yawman also currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Pro Bono Partnership, an organization that provides business and transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations serving the disadvantaged or enhancing the quality of life in neighborhoods across the tristate area.

Yawman graduated with honors from Rutgers Law School, where he served as Managing Director of the Rutgers Law Review, and he received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame.   He resides in Sleepy Hollow, NY, with his wife, Margaret, and their four children.
