Special Volunteer Opportunities
Speak about United Way’s mission and initiatives and the work of 2-1-1 at community meetings and events throughout the year (e.g. Rotary Clubs, the Junior League, Chambers of Commerce, local corporationsf, etc.).
Board Orientation and Leadership Development Financial Education Program
Present the workshops to employees across the two-county area. If you are financially-savvy, articulate and outgoing, we welcome your participation in this exciting new initiative.
Experience Matters Born Learning Advocates
Provide advice on the distribution of Born Learning materials, to assist in developing opportunities to present the benefits of Born Learning at appropriate venues, and to speak about Born Learning in the community.
Experience Matters FamilyWize Ambassadors
Help distribute the FamilyWize card in the community, especially at pharmacies and other locations where people congregate.
Workplace Volunteer Connection Special Events
Promote, organize and participate in United Way's events organized all year round to benefit our work of creating a better life for all.
BoardBank UWWP Board Committees & Task Forces
Develop strategy for the United Way's Annual Campaign, help develop effective community impact strategies and guide the development of policies and practices that enhance United Way’s image and visibility with key constituent groups and the public at large.
Workplace Volunteer Connection Hudson Valley 2-1-1 Helpline
Oversee the direction and operations of Hudson Valley 2-1-1; set policy; plan for the future including, but not limited to, technology planning, fundraising, marketing, strategic and business planning.
Workplace Volunteer Connection UWWP Member Community Councils
Raise funds, organize and host special events and reach out to friends and neighbors with United Way’s vital messages.
