Thrive By Five

DSCF4929.jpg Research shows that the path to achievement begins as soon as a baby is born. The goal of Thrive by Five is to help young children arrive at school ready to learn and achieve.

Parents as First Teachers
The primary technique used by our Thrive by Five partners is to give parents and caregivers the training they need to be effective teachers.

Born Learning
United Way’s free Born Learning materials give
parents tools to expose their kids to colors, shapes,
letters and numbers, in fun everyday activities.

46% of children start school without adequate language, literacy, social and emotional skills1

Measurable Success
Thrive By Five partners work throughout Westchester and come together four times a year to highlight successes, share resources and define measurements.

Our Thrive By Five 2013-2014 Partners:

  • Child Care Council of Westchester
  • Family Services of Westchester
  • Hendrick Hudson Free Library
  • The Guidance Center
  • Westchester Children’s Association
