The Volunteer Center of United Way and United Way of Westchester and Putnam
are pleased to announce the services of the
Board Resource Team
A management assistance program designed to provide on-site assistance to nonprofit organizations by leading their boards through a process of capacity-building and nonprofit management advisement. This is a pro bono service offered to nonprofit organizations in Westchester County.
Members of The Volunteer Center’s Experienced Volunteer Executives & Professionals (EVEP), a group of volunteers with extensive business and management experience, will provide three to five on-site sessions, working with the applying organization’s executive director, board members and volunteers, as appropriate. The initial sessions will be devoted to discussing questions which assess the organization’s capacity to achieve its mission. Further sessions will focus on specific governance, management, program, and fundraising issues of importance to the organization.
The Board Resource Team, persons experienced in business and professions, have been guided pro bono by Resource Development Counsel, rdcfunds.org; Robert Miss, CPFR, and Gae Savino, CFRE, in preparing for this project and will continue to benefit from the guidance of Mr. Miss and Ms. Savino as they bring this program out into the field.
